May Distribution
During the month of May we moved thousands of kilos of produce from our mission to the different institutions that serve the needy. In order to make sure that each beneficiary gets what they need, we spend time sorting, packing, dividing, and assigning each different stack of food Here you see Christopher and Francis moving the boxes assigned to be delivered that day.
Daisy’s Wheelchair
Mrs. Daisy, (so nicknamed since childhood because she loved picking the little flowers and spending as much time outdoors as possible) beams with pride as she receives a brand-new wheelchair from Helping Hand volunteers John and Ester.Her previous wheelchair had been so well-used that it had become completely beyond repair. Thank you Dr. N for donating this very needed piece of equipment!
Mommies’ and Babies’ Clothes
Each month we sort and pack clothing for adults and children in need. Here, Lisa is preparing baby clothes parcels for the new mommies at a nearby maternity clinic. Often these parcels are supplemented with creams, nappies, and other baby care items. The moms at this centre for women recieved maternity clothing and parcels with lotions, shampoo, and other personal hygiene items from Suzanne. During the last three months we have distributed over 900 pieces of clothing.
