Christmas is a day of celebration and fellowship with family and friends. For some people, those without homes and relations, it is a time of loneliness and despair. For the last three years we have opened our mission and home to strangers and passers-by on Christmas day. We invite one-and-all to join us for the celebration of Jesus’ birth. As we served plates of Christmas dinner, and all the trimmings, to those entering our gate, we also took plates to the homeless a little further afield. We visited the police station and the fire station as well, bringing cakes, cool drinks and treats for the dear people who have to work on this special holiday.
