Food Parcels for Over 100 Families

For the many (predominantly white and coloured) families recently evicted from their long term farm home (Klein Akker), the lockdown and CoViD -19 effects hit them especially hard! Over half of the community is unemployed, and although they try to help each other out, there is rarely enough. Now, with travel and work forbidden, they are suffering immensely. We are so sad to see their plight, and thankful to help out a little. We started by washing and sanitizing everyone’s hands. Each of the 127 parcels distributed contained fresh food – onions, plums, mielies, bread, green beans, cauliflower, tomatoes, and a jar of meat! Then we added a roll of tissue paper and an inspirational Activated magazine.

For those of you who help make this work possible – on behalf of all those from Klein Akker and many, many others, THANK YOU!
