Early one morning, we got a call from “Mama Rosie.” She’s the founder of Baphumelele, an orphanage in Khayelitsha that we’ve been assisting for over 10 years. (She now cares for 160 kids plus runs a community soup kitchen and frail care centre)
She was nearly in tears on the phone, saying she doesn’t have enough food for running, and might even have to close down the soup kitchen. We were so touched because she never asks for anything, we just let her know when we have foodstuff, clothes, or other items for the centre.
So we got together and prayed, and reached out to a few friends. Immediately, miracles began happening! We even found that Mike and Ester (who run our food logistics) had been putting aside a portion of meat donations, with the feeling that it would be needed, though they didn’t know where. Now here was the need, and we could give over 70kg of meat to her! Amazing! The Lord is so faithful that within 24 hours, we had a large load ready for her – maize, samp, bread, baby formula, flour, nuts, cereal, and a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables! She couldn’t believe it, and sent this sweet message upon receiving the load.
Yheeeeeeeee!!!!! Thank you Jesus !!!??????????, I am really really happy and very grateful for your help ??????
