One of Bible-course students, E, asked for prayer for a special request – a television for his wife to use at home with their children while he is working. (She is fighting to overcome addiction, and having something to do at home would certainly be a big help.) Yet, TV’s are not easy to come by, and our friend certainly couldn’t afford one at this time. So, we all prayed together and committed it to the Lord, claiming Psalm 37:4! (Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.)

E. works hard and is always sharing his faith and the Gospel whenever he has a chance; having a positive impact on those around him. We believed the Lord would reward him and honour his faith… we just didn’t know how or when!

Then, just last week, we received a call from someone who is moving house. He said he had some clothes and books for us to pick up. As we were loading, he said “Oh, and I don’t know if you can use it…(leading us into another room) … but I have this TV I’m not using.” Wow! Can you believe it! Jesus is so faithful! We immediately told him “That’s amazing! We know just who needs it!”

When we delivered the TV and some foodstuffs to E’s tiny home, we also had a chance to pray with his whole family, claiming complete freedom from addiction, as well as protection, supply, and a stronger relationship with the Lord.

In this wonderful way, the Lord not only blessed our faithful friend and his family, but also encouraged the one who gave it; that his giving really does impact lives! Praise God!
