Busy day today! Lots of helping hands! Ten of us spent last night packing over 200 bags with toys for boys and girls, trying to make sure the presents were somewhat equal. Our living room looked like a well-stocked toy shop, thanks to all the donated toys! The kids helped pack the ‘goodie bags’ with chocolates, chips, and candies. Then today, we could barely fit in the van with all the presents and food, ha! Well, it was worth it. About 214 underprivileged kids came to the hall. We showed a movie first and then gave out the presents and treats. The kids were thrilled! Afterwards they all enjoyed a hot-dog lunch with ice cream for dessert. One thing we noticed is that most of the kids kept their toys in their bags after peeking inside –probably to keep them safe until they got home. We had fun, they had fun too. It was a great day.
