Supporting A Mobile Clinic and Respite Home
These supplies – including a nebulizer, back brace, wheelchair, walker, crutches, reading glasses, and all kind of medical consumables – were so gratefully received by a mobile clinic as well as a respite home – both working to help the most vulnerable in Khayelitsha.
Christmas at a Creche – Toys, Games, Treats, and Salvation!
For the children at this little creche, Christmas was brought to life with games and songs for all, as well as a wrapped and labeled toy and a goodie bag for each child! We gave the Message of Christmas, and explained why we give gifts to each other – because God gave the Best Gift of all. The faithful staff also received an appreciation parcel of foodstuffs and treats, to encourage them that their daily efforts are seen. Most wonderfully, we were privileged to lead 21 children in a prayer to accept Jesus as their Saviour and Forever Friend!
Packing and Preparing Hundreds of Toys and Goodie Bags!
We’ve been busy preparing for Christmas projects; among other things sorting and packing many hundreds of toys and goodie bags! Exciting times!
Baby Formula, Cot, and More…
We brought crates of baby formula and cereal, hundreds of nappies, a baby cot, bath, and other needed items to assist a creche and abandoned baby care home in Khayelitsha. The dear ones running things can never have enough of these vital and valuable items, and it was great to see the excitement on their faces as we unloaded and showed them the gifts.
Medical Supplies for Clinics in Multiple Towns!
A four person team went on a trip delivering a van-load of medical supplies to clinics in Rawsonville, Villiersdorp, Ashton, and McGregor! As well as the supplies, we distributed 78 Activated magazines, 800 Gospel tracts, and 25 other books! We were able to encourage staff members at each clinic, and everyone was so so grateful.
Website Issues Update!
For the last few weeks, our site has been intermittently down from a malware attack, and it took time for us to work on fixing it, and then raise the funds needed for a security package. Then even that wasn’t sorting it out, and more manual back-and-forth cleaning was needed. Hectic times. Thank the Lord and those involved, it is now up and running properly again! Please accept our apologies; some posts will be delayed as we try to catch up showing you testimonies and pics of past happenings while still having new daily outreach and projects through this season.
Two Miracles of Timing
Recently, we went to collect donated items from a family who is emigrating. Among the items were some large drywall boards and a wooden door…
On another day this week, a friend asked if we could use a dishwasher at the mission. We said that, while we have one already, a dishwasher would definitely be a blessing to someone. So we picked it up. The very next morning…
