Convalescent Hospital – Bed-to-Bed

The children of a convalescent hospital in Athlone were overjoyed to see us when we arrived with presents for each of them. (Presents donated by a local business) We went bed-to-bed, interacting with these dear little ones: some of whom are seriously ill and may not be on this earth for much longer. Each of the wonderful staff members also received a gift bag and a fruit cake; unexpected gifts which deeply touched them. It really reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas – LOVE – and how very much we all have to be thankful for.

Gift Parcels for Staff of Sive Nathi

Truly, the men and women who care for the disabled children of the Sive Nathi Care Centre are amazing. Always smiling, singing, and so positive; they care for these young cerebral palsy patients with so much love and patience that we felt honoured to present them with a gift bag full of Christmas treats and presents. (Gift items donated by a local company) Here you see the packing of the bags and the staff receiving them. Thank you to our sponsors for making Christmas special for these faithful staff members!

Cheerful Christmas at the Crèche

The kids of the local Jack and Jill underprivileged crèche were overjoyed when we showed up with toys and snacks! We played games with them, laughed with them, helped open their gifts and even feed them their treats. We love to interact with and bring joy to these little ones, who need all the encouragement in life they can get. Their smiles and laughter always convince us that these events are more than worth the effort!  We were also able to give parcels to each of the staff, and even to a disabled man who lives near the creche. All in all, a wonderful, special time! May we all continue to spread Love this Christmas season, whenever and however we can!

Christmas Events for Thousands of Children

This season, so many families cannot afford to have a Christmas party, presents, or special treats. We were honoured to partner with Shiloh Synergy once again to organize large-scale events for over 3000 children at two events. In both Wallacedene and Bloekombos townships, eager children were treated to some games, singing, goodie bags, and cold, yummy lollipops! At one event the local firemen came out and sprayed their hoses in the air – creating beautiful waterfalls of water for the kids to play in! The Gospel message was also given to the crowds of kids as they waited for their gifts; we pray that this bit of love shown will inspire and motivate them to be all they can be in the future, and make a difference themselves too!
