As well as distributing to centres for women and children in crisis, we were able to bring many of these items of clothing to mothers and children at a local clinic. Going into the clinic, we personally tried the items on the recipients, to ensure everyone got something that would fit the best and benefit them the most.

Delivering Food for Soup Kitchen
At least four times a week, Helping Hand delivers food to the Shiloh Feeding Project. This soup kitchen feeds several hundred children daily, and we are proud to be a part of that. Here you see John and Caleb unloading one of the deliveries of fresh produce.
Spring Day! – Children Visit the Elderly
How wonderful to see the expressions on these dear residents’ faces as the little ones approached them with a “Happy Spring Day”; a bunch of flowers and chocolates. Each person also received a hand-drawn card from the children and an inspirational Activated magazine. We are glad to be able to bring cheer into the lives and hearts of these men and women.
Youth Climb Table Mountain
A few of us and the youth were able to go up Table Mountain with Suzanne and Caleb during their visit. For many of the youth it was their first time up, and what a wonderful first time! The weather was perfect for climbing – both up and down- and we all really enjoyed the outing!
Team Members from Netherlands Visiting!
Our Helping Hand team members from the Netherlands – Suzanne and her son Caleb – are visiting for the month of August. They have already been and continue to be a blessing in many ways! We are very happy to have them and will miss them when they go!
Youth Outing
Here you see our youth enjoying a special time out at the ice rink.
Cheering up the Elderly
Thanks to a donation of beautiful flower bouquets, we were able to give each member of a nearby retirement village hugs, smiles, flowers, and love! They enjoyed interacting with the little ones and we are glad to be a part of their lives in this way.
Fresh Rolls Feed Many
A primary school (with over 1000 pupils), a local church soup kitchen, and a creche for disadvantaged children were a few institutions who benefited from fresh bread these past weeks.
