The Grahamstown Festival Outreach this year was a great success! With six team members witnessing during the 11-day festival and two more of us joining for the last weekend, there was no shortage of energy, testimonies, answered prayers, and miracles! We don’t know the far reaching effects of the outreach or what the Lord will do in each heart and life, but here are some statistics we can share with you. -Over 17000 Gospel tracts distributed -170 people accepted Jesus as their personal Saviour -Over 400 Activated magazines were left with individuals ministered to -Over 250 Gospel of John and Bibles given out -Many subscriptions to the Activated magazine – Lots of people prayed for, encouraged, and taught more about Jesus. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support! You helped make this possible! Please see some testimonies below. (Shelly) We met Patrick three years ago and we have been giving him tracts, Activated and Gospel of Johns for his school in Port Alfred. Last year we prayed together for various requests. He came with his six year old son Litha who prayed with us to receive Jesus. This year being our fourth at the Arts Festival we were able to meet again. We again were able to share Gospel of Johns, Activated magazines and new comic tracts. He was so grateful and thanked us again on behalf of himself and his wife, he explained what a blessing the literature had been. We then discussed various challenges he was facing in his life and family and we encouraged him and promised to keep them in prayer. I met a young woman from P.E., she said that she would like to receive the Activated magazine and would subscribe when she returned home. I reconnected with her a couple days Read the full article…

News from the Netherlands – Outreach During the Football World Cup
(By Suzanne, ((and Caleb)) Netherlands) The 13th of June 2014 was a memorable day for the Dutch, as it marked the start of the World Cup Soccer for Holland. During the weeks that followed, the country was gripped by the excitement and hope that maybe this time…. As the team won matches and progressed to the round of 16, crowds started to gather to watch the matches on large screens put up on city squares. This brought back memories of that other World Cup Soccer which we experienced so intensely, spending days and nights on Cape Town’s fan mile, passing out tracts and witnessing to thousands of football fans. We decided to “ride the wave” of Holland’s football success and witness to as many as possible while it lasted, perhaps even all the way to the final! Within days, a missionary friend and translator (God bless you, Koos!) provided us with the Dutch version of the “Play2Win” tract, which Anthony put together for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, so we were ready to go. For the quarter finals against Costa Rica we went to Utrecht, Holland’s fourth largest city. In spite of the fact that we weren’t able to stay right up to the match, we distributed a good number of tracts and received quite positive responses and had some good conversations with people. We were glad to also have printed a stack of English tracts, as we encountered quite a few foreigners. The day of the semi-finals dawned rainy, with gale-force wind, but nonetheless Caleb and I went into Rotterdam, armed with tracts, praying for the weather to improve and/or hoping to find at least a few football fans, or just any people, out and about. It was extremely quiet in the streets, but we were praying Read the full article…
Shoes, Clothing, and Blankets to Help Fight the Cold
In collaboration with Annie -a local schoolteacher- we organized an event for disadvantaged families. We set out tables full of clothes, shoes, blankets, and other items. Then we had a short talk with those gathered; explaining that Jesus’ Love compelled us to help them and show them love in a material as well as spiritual way. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15) In a organized line, those present were able to take their time and browse each table for the items they needed. Everyone was so excited to receive these blessings, and eagerly tried on the shoes and clothes! Mothers got much-needed baby slings, families received blankets, and everyone was given love!
Go Ye Therefore…(Matthew 28:19)
Hello everyone! Our van – packed full of Gospel pamphlets, Bibles, Activated magazines, and willing volunteers – is off to the Grahamstown Arts Festival once again. Please pray with us for a safe trip, good weather and a fruitful time of sharing Jesus’ love with the people we will be meeting there. Our prayer is specifically for lives changed and souls brought to Jesus’ Salvation! Also for the message to be spread far and wide! We will continue to keep you updated. Thank you!
Bible Studies
In addition to our weekly Sunday fellowship and Bible study, we hold Bible classes throughout the week. One of these; a motivational Bible class and discussion, at a centre for women in crisis. We have seen wonderful fruit from these times and are reminded that God has promised us that His Word ..”shall not return without effect.” (Isaiah 55:11)
