Non-perishable Food Distribution

This week we brought tinned goods, pasta sauces, and breakfast cereals to centres for women and children in crisis. It makes such a difference to both the budget (these centres often struggle to cover monthly expenses) and to the morale of these sweet women and children. (Many of whom come from very difficult situations) We are honoured to be able to give them Jesus by giving them love, for “God is Love!” (1 John 4:8)

Valentine’s Day News from The Netherlands

On Friday, Suzanne and Caleb went to their local town square, which was especially decorated for Valentine’s Day. They gave out Gospel tracts and posters, along with chocolate hearts for the occasion. The message was received very well and people were inspired not only by the message of Jesus’ Love, but also by the gift of chocolate.

Valentine’s Day for Some Special Women

Today we had a wonderful time at a centre for women in crisis. Today, in addition to their weekly Bible study, we brought along a bonus; gift bags for each one! What big smiles we received as a result! We are glad to see these women growing stronger in faith and the knowledge that Jesus is always there to be their Love; their Valentine! Distribution to Local Centres

As part of our day-to-day projects, we distributed non-perishables in our local area to a primary school, (+-800 pupils) an underprivileged creche, (40 little ones) and Andries Olivier Quadriplegic Centre. Here you can see Mike with a few of the residents of Andries Olivier. (Within an hour of delivering the goods we received this sweet, grateful letter.)

Dan Luyt 15km Run

Several Helping Hand members participated in the 15km Dan Luyt Run in Durbanville. Whether one of those running or one of those standing by the finish-line cheering, we all had a great time! I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. (Psalm 139:14)
