380 Hygiene Parcels!

Visiting three government clinics and an informal settlement off the N7 highway, we distributed hand sanitizers, soaps, toothpaste tablets, and fresh fruit! Every place we went, these special items were gratefully received, and we were even able to allocate sanitizer for the nurses and other staff to use!

“Free Shop” Clothing Event for Hundreds!

Partnering with a local community leader – who organized the most needy families and the hall – we held an event we like to call “free shop!” Each man, woman, and child came through and browsed the tables, with volunteers at the different sections ready to help them. Group by group, hundreds of people came to “shop!” Together with shoes, hand sanitizers, and Gospel tracts, they were able to each take full sets of clothing home!

Gloves and Beanies and Hugs and More!

These children could hardly believe it as they received gloves, beanies, and neck warmers! (plus of course a healthy snack!) On bitterly cold winter days, it is truly not just a blessing but an actually need for these dear ones. We enjoyed each smile, hug, and excited exclamation!

(A HUGE thanks to the dear ladies who handknitted and donated these lovely items. You made these children’s lives better.)

Reaching Both the Parents and the Children

We received this beautiful testimony from a couple who are good friends and former Bible students of ours; now living and minstering near Mosselbaai.

Hi! Hope you are well. So Anton organized a birthday party for a girl in our church who could not afford a party and her parents couldn’t afford a cake or a gift……it’s a family he invited to church who made the decision to give their hearts to The Lord. Here are some photos. Our Father provided with more than enough….so many people contributed and it was really special! Anton also provided their family with a whole big bag full of clothes.
And look at this… while we were in service M and R (two sons) called Anton and myself to come and see the rainbow 🌈 They said it’s obviously for Caylee. The Lord is so good. Also we were able to give the mom and 10 year old sibling a week’s supply of food and extra warm blankets. They are coming with us to church again this Sunday. I also helped her with her CV so let’s keep praying she finds a job. – Helen

We are all so inspired to see the fruit borne as others are taught to teach others, and show the Love of Jesus where they are. (2 Timothy 2:2) That’s the way the Light spreads into hearts and lives all over!

A Wave of Wonder Working Witnessing!

Thank you all again for your faithful prayers and kindhearted gifts of love to make the two week outreach – in Grahamstown and along the way there and back – possible!

It was a wonderful time of followup, ministering to many, and helping to lead those who were willing to accept Salvation! We spoke with atheists, deeply searching souls, new believers, backslidden believers, new age adherents, and many other kinds of people!

The immediate, known results are:

Over 350 Bibles, Gospel of John booklets, Activated magazines, and other faith building books distributed, free of charge.

12 500 Gospel tracts given out all over the streets and to any and all who would receive them!

58 Decisions to accept Jesus as Saviour

Many followup visits, long discussions, and prayers on the spot for various requests!

Praise God! What a wonderful outreach it was, and we look forward to seeing even more “fruit” in the Lord’s time.

For the Children and Those that Care for Them…

The many children at this large orphanage in Khayelitsha – plus a whole lot of others older and younger that come to the community soup kitchen – benefited from the vanload of foodstuffs we were able to provide for them. And even the men and women who faithfully care for the kids and keep the homes clean enjoyed crackers and tea; special items earmarked for their relaxation and refreshment!

Help for the Elderly

We were warmly received by the staff of “Tehuis” as we brought not only a lovely couch for their communal area, bur also sanitizers and boxes of food, both fresh and non-perishable. “Tehuis” is home to 160 elderly men and women and is very much in need of supplies and food. It was a privilege to support the home with sanitizers for each resident as well as plenty of varied food items.
