Over 800 Food Parcels Distributed!

What a wonderful blessing! From multiple sources and contributors, these three distribution events came together. We pulled up at the first location, and within minutes the line of waiting people was hundreds long. We prayed together, and then began distributing. There were beautiful carrots, potatoes, onions, nartjies, and apples – plus cereal, flour, instant noodles, and Gospel material! It was truly lovely once again to see the many grateful smiles, and watch as little children and adults alike dug into their parcels immediately to enjoy a fruit, or stood intently reading their Gospel tracts. Then we went to another settlement, and after that a third! At each distribution we were able to pray and joyfully distribute, with great results. A VERY busy and happy day!

Easter for the Elderly

To help share the Love of Jesus and Resurrection Joy, the children of Helping Hand visited a home for the elderly, bringing chocolates and an Easter message! The reactions were so heart-warming and the kids’ cheerful “Happy Easter!” echoed inside room after room. We are so proud of them for enthusiastically reaching out and being little lights for Jesus. We were also able to leave some treats for the sweet staff, a “thank you” for their daily care and concern for these elderly patients.

Happy Resurrection!

It is wonderful to be saved, isn’t it!? Today, let us celebrate the life of deep joy and inner peace we’re blessed to have, because our precious Saviour Jesus Christ not only suffered and died for our sins, but rose again in mighty and glorious victory! Happy Resurrection Day!

KKNK Outreach – The Start!

How wonderful it is to talk about Jesus! Please keep in prayer for our KKNK outreach – the team headed up Friday morning, and they have been busy! They will be coming back this Saturday. The Lord has already done wonderful miracles like providing them with places to stay (one offered late THE NIGHT BEFORE leaving), fuel put in by friends, funds for food and Gospel material sponsorship, and extra Bibles donated just before leaving! Things continue to come together step by step as we obey and witness; praise the Lord!

Nappies and Baby Items!

We brought hundreds of nappies, together with boxes of baby lotions, soaps, and other needed items to a home for little ones in Khayelitsha. The house “father” and “mother” were absolutely thrilled, and expressed joy at each item as it was unpacked.

Run for World Down Syndrome Day

The 21st of March is marked as World Down Syndrome Day. Once again, we celebrated it –as well as our dear Down Syndrome missionary, Timothy — by joining in the 6 km Tygerberg Fun Run. Timothy rose to the challenge and ran with his usual flair.

From young to older, each Helping Hand member gave it their all and received their well-deserved medals. Well done to all!
