We were invited to harvest a whole lot of cabbages, which was a great experience! They were then distributed to many needy families, along with bread, fruit, and Gospel magazines!

Women’s Day Events!
Below you can see some pictures of three different Women’s Day Celebrations! We spoke at a ladies’ function, giving encouragement to women who are facing extremely challenging home situations, and sharing a lovely lunch together. . Another team went to a rural community, bringing quality chocolates and cool drink for each of the women there; reminding them that they are loved and valued. As we spoke with each one personally, they were delighted to be able to choose their own chocolate and cool drink flavours! Our third team visited a centre for pregnant women in crisis, (with cakes and cookies galore) in order to bring a women’s day tea to them all! A wonderful Women’s Day!
And Also…
In our general operations over the last two weeks, we’ve been busy with soup and bread to children and low-income families, sorting and preparing non-perishable donations for distribution, polony sandwiches for children at Sunday School, large food parcels for unemployed mothers, Bibles for the homeless who have recently received Christ with us, and more!
Uplifting the Standard at Orphanage and Quadriplegic Home
Helping those who are uplifting others in the Name of Jesus has always been one of our main operating methods, and why we chose “Helping Hand” as our name. We’re really pleased and thankful for what’s been accomplished in July – cleaning supplies, basic household items, and toiletries brought to a quadriplegic home, and all manner of furniture, baby cots, heaters, linens, urns, and more given to an orphanage!
Love for Local Little Ones
Thank the Lord for soup and bread to facilitate His Love and the Gospel going out to over 70 children yesterday afternoon! We more than once got teary eyed seeing these sweet children and how grateful they are. One day, one person at a time, hope spreads and change is made!
Enabling Life Transformations at a Christian Rehab
The team at this rehab in Cape Town does a great job encouraging, ministering to, and building up the men who come through the program. We are so pleased and thankful to be able to be a part by helping with much needed clothing items, Gospel material, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and a lot of foodstuffs! (both staples and “specials”)
Morning and Evening – Porridge, Stew, Gospel, Prayer, and Salvation!
From early morning until the evening yesterday, we were excited and busy! 71 children at our Sunday School received warm porridge with their Bible lesson on Heaven, and it was so special to see their enjoyment! Throughout the day, we distributed pies and fruit to the needy at the mission gate, giving each person that came a short word of encouragement and a Gospel tract. Then in the evening, we cooked two big pots of chicken stew, and distributed it to over 40 homeless individuals all around the area. (each person received a 700ml portion and bread roll!) We took time to give a message explaining Salvation and Jesus’ Love; offering to pray with them right there to accept Him as their Saviour. Wonderfully, 10 men and women made the decision! It was a long and amazing day! We are so privileged to be able to do what we can to reach out and spread Hope and Love.
A Miracle of Supply!
We are thrilled to report that the Lord miraculously blessed us with a new(er) van! Praise His name!
As you know, one of our ministries is the collection and distribution of food to those in need, and our vehicles are a very important, daily part of that.
With our vans totaling over one million km we have been in desperate need to upgrade to a newer, lower mileage van for some time.
This came totally out of the blue. Such a miracle!
We are humbled and so very grateful to the Lord and each one of you who faithfully stands by us in prayer and support. Thank you!
