It makes us so glad to be able to assist this community business with leather off-cuts, which they can use to make a variety of products to sell and support the ladies of the area. Mike also personally spent time with the project managers, teaching them some leatherworking techniques and explaining in an easy to understand way the methods and basic tools needed to be most efficient. They were very engaged, interested, and grateful!

Bulk Supplies for Centres – Creche, Orphanage, Special Needs Home
As you know, one of the focuses of June was bulk supplies for centres! In reaching this goal, we were able to provide all kinds of non-perishables to centres that we have been supporting for many years, and which provide safety and help for the vulnerable members of the community.
At each one, the items were received with joy and extreme gratefulness! Click and scroll through to see details of each centre!
Moms and Babies Hampers at Four Clinics
It was absolutely wonderful to see the thankful smiles of mothers – and curious interest from their little ones – as we gave them hampers – packed with clothes, a blanket, nappies, a toy, cereal, tissue paper, a Gospel magazine, and a handmade card with the message “Children are a blessing! Thank you for all you do to take care of them!”
Mothers at four clinics received these gifts, and we pray all the items will truly be a help and reminder that Jesus cares about them! Summer or winter, being a mom is a lot of hard work, and deserves recognition and respect!
Soup and Bread On a Rainy Day
This community is always in desperate need – all the more so in the heavy rain we’ve been having. One of the ladies contacted us to ask if we’d be able to help with some food, and though we wanted to, we simply didn’t have enough available. Then God intervened! We were given several large bags of bread, and over 100 packs of ready made soup! We immediately drove in the rain out to them, and everyone received soup and bread! Thank you Lord for mercies for these precious ones. Please keep them in your prayers!
Here’s to Fathers!
There are many different kinds of fathers, and each with his own fathering style, but the unending, sacrificial love a father has for his children is a reflection of the way God is with us.
So here’s to all you fathers, dads, papas, and daddies, who lay your all on the line for your family, who will spend sleepless nights and endless days unseen fulfilling your role, who do your best to be the best image of God our Father for us.
“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the [children].” (1 John 3:16)
Young People Prepare for the Youth of the Future
Young volunteers spent Youth Day packing parcels for new mothers and their little ones.
What an inspiration to see these young people giving of their time to ensure that new mothers today get a little help with their babies; the youth of tomorrow.
Included in each parcel were a set of clothes, nappies, blankets, cereals, a toy, tissue paper, and an inspirational magazine.
As a small ‘extra’ our artistic-minded volunteers designed a lovely card with an encouraging message to give to each of the new mothers.
500 Parcels Distribution!
All the families eagerly lined up to receive their parcels – each person getting a full portion! So for example, a mother, father, and their two children received four parcels between them – meaning there was enough food for several meals! It was truly wonderful to be there, reminding each one as they came through the line that Jesus loves them, and leaving them with not only food, but also tissue paper, an Activated magazine, and a special treat for the children!
