Flood Relief – Clothes, Blankets, and Shoes
So many are suffering in the aftermath of the storms and floods that have hit many communities. This distribution of clothes, shoes, and blankets reached hundreds of people, and served as a practical reminder that – even in the terrible storms of life both physical and spiritual – God loves and cares for us. It was just blessed all the way through and the families were so thankful it brought tears to our eyes. There was nearly 100% chance of rain, which would make project extremely difficult. So before going we desperately prayed …and the Lord kept away the rain COMPLETELY just as requested. Miracles! Privileged to do it and all thanks to Jesus!!!
16 Day Outreach Trip!
The outreach was a great and wonderful success! In total during the 16 days witnessing (on the road and at Grahamstown Arts Festival) the immediate, known results are:
-70 decisions to accept Jesus Christ as Saviour!
-158 people prayed with on the spot for healing, jobs, family, against anxiety, depression, and many other requests!
-305 Bibles, Activated magazines, and other books given out!
-12 700 Gospel tracts distributed!
Supplies for Community in Storms and Snow
Members of our Helping Hand team were able to enjoy a trip to the snow, while bringing much-needed foodstuffs for the local feeding initiatives. Many families are struggling with the wet and cold, and these items were gladly received!
New Shoes for Steadfast Staff
There was so very much rejoicing as the faithful (and often footsore) staff of an orphanage, elderly care centre, youth skills training and rehab home, and preschool received in total 101 pairs of shoes! What an everyday need joyfully fulfilled!
Sunday School Growth – More Like Jesus…
Over the last 8 years, we have slowly but surely seen our Sunday School grow, with the children drawing closer to Jesus, each other, and us! From 8 children the first week to over 80 now, every Sunday morning is a blessing of prayer, lessons, scripture memorization, songs, snacks, and even games!
The Work Joyfully Goes On..
Besides focuses like Grahamstown outreach or other large projects; every day there are food parcels being made and delivered, outreach teams out, soup kitchens supplied, centres and homes being helped, children prayed with and uplifted, devotional messages sent out, and more! All of this thanks to those of you who make it possible! – and our dear Jesus for giving the strength and direction day by day! We couldn’t do it alone!
Youth Day Projects – 400 Sandwiches Made and Handed Out! + more!
At a government clinic, an underprivileged creche, and on the streets in needy areas, children and adults alike received sandwiches, fruit, and even donuts! It was such a blessing to work with volunteers to prepare the many sandwiches, and of course to see the happy faces of those who accepted these physical touches of God’s Love together with a Gospel tract!
