Giving Back on Birthday

We were proud to assist a close friend in a project she organized – bringing the Love of Jesus to a desperately in need area. On her birthday, she decided to give back and focus on others; such a beautiful idea! About 70 adults and children gathered, and after an opening message by our friend and then prayer, we began to serve them. Home cooked food, prepared by the lady volunteers, was dished out, along with cool drinks for all. The grateful men, women, and children patiently waited their turn, eating and drinking with rapturous enjoyment, looking between each other with huge smiles. We provided a Gospel of John and other inspirational material for each person, and several Bibles too. These dear people even surprised our friend with a basket bouquet of wild flowers – a true gesture of love from these ones who have next to nothing themselves. All in all, a lovely time! We are so proud of our friend for giving of herself to bring Jesus to these people on her birthday. (John 13:34, Proverbs 22:2)

Warm Breakfast at Sunday School

In this very cold weather, we decided to bring a warm breakfast to the children at our Sunday School. A large pot of steaming oats, (and a bottle of juice to take home) divided out to all the sweet children, was a wonderful addition to speaking of Jesus, songs, and games. The Bible says that all will know we are His followers, if we show love. (John 13:35) So that’s what we endeavour to do.

Women’s Day Projects

For Women’s Day we packed and gave out care parcels – with beauty products and treats – and held a “high tea” for the ladies at a home for women in crisis and unwed mothers. Just to show a little touch of God’s Love to these sweet women, and see their grateful smiles, makes it more than worth it!

Blankets to Help Fight the Cold

With the weather being so very cold, we were happy to buy warm, fleece material to make blankets for children and adults in a few informal settlements. Added to those, were blankets, quilts, and beanies donated to us throughout the year for the cold winter months. Many of the children wrapped the blankets around themselves right away, while the men and women gratefully carried them to their make-shift homes for the coming cold nights.

Testimonies! – Grahamstown Arts Festival Outreach 2018

ENJOY THESE TESTIMONIES FROM THE OUTREACH TEAM – MIKE, MICHELLE, DAVID, AND STEFANIE! Please check HERE for photos and stats. “I met Tongai under the Rhodes Arch near the vendors. I handed him a tract, and was about to continue on my way, when he called me over and asked to explain it to him. We began talking about why our group of 4 had driven up from Cape Town to Grahamstown, and how we were offering Jesus on an individual level. He said that he had accepted Jesus into his life, and has been reading the Bible often, but had some questions. He asked if he could discuss some of these questions with me, which I happily agreed to. My word! “Where do souls come from?” “Where does it say God will destroy the Earth?” “How will Jesus set up His Kingdom on Earth if we are all going to Heaven when we die?” I could see these questions needed accurate Scriptures to answer, and I wasn’t exactly sure where to start. Silently, I prayed, and asked the Holy Spirit to “guide me into all truth.” (John 16:13) I started by using the Psalm from King David: “For Thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.” And in Jeremiah: “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee.” Then I moved on to his other question. I told him that while God is coming to destroy the world, first off as Christians we don’t have to worry. I briefly explained what to expect between Jesus’ Second Coming and New Heaven and the New Earth. Also, God destroying the Earth will be like He did with the Flood, but this time with fire. He won’t actually break planet Earth up like a sci-fi or Marvel movie. By this time, Read the full article…

Educational Projects

This month, we brought educational supplies and materials to clinics, The Hotspot Library, and an underprivileged creche. We were able to bring a few sets of encyclopedias and other educational research material to the make-shift library. In speaking with the children, we found out that many of them spend time at the library every day after school. There was also a personal kids magazine, pen, and notebook for each child. What a privilege to see the children’s happy faces as they received the best gifts – knowledge, and proof that Someone cares for them!

Grahamstown Arts Festival Outreach 2018 – Stats and Pictures

The Grahamstown Festival Outreach this year was wonderfully blessed! The team was able to visit many individuals that had previously accepted salvation, and spend quality time ministering personally to them. ( over 50 follow-up visits and meetings throughout the festival!) The Lord gave them good weather and a room to stay in, and brought such people across their path as He knew needed more of His Love. In addition to the follow-up and visits along the way to and from Grahamstown, the outreach results are: • 86 decisions to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour • 53 individuals prayed for – for a variety of requests • 17 Faith building books left with those who want to know more • 137 Activated magazines distributed • 11 Bibles given to those who had none • 60 Gospel of John given out • 13 200 tracts distributed We are so grateful to the Lord and to you who made this outreach possible – you share in every blessing, soul saved, and life changed.
