We received a surprise donation of an assortment of a lot of brand-new appliances! Microwaves, electric cookers, kettles, irons etc. etc. After sorting and testing them all, we decided to see about fulfilling the various wish lists of multiple centres and kitting them out. Time after time, among the appliances we delivered there were specific ones that were exactly what a centre needed – or even just desired – like a juicer and blender for a youth centre, an electric frying pan for a rehab facility, or a drip coffee machine for a quadriplegic centre! A safe house for children-at-risk also received a washing machine and tumble dryer among other things. Praise God!

In addition to our Gospel outreach, we’re kept very busy collecting, sorting, and giving out many vanloads of much-needed food to institutions, children’s homes, and desperate families. Hundreds of families have received food parcels containing vegetables, fruit, bread rolls, spices, tissue paper and more – as well as a Gospel Activated magazine! Filling hungry stomachs is temporary, yes, yet very necessary; our main goal of giving hope and transforming lives is facilitated by practical expressions of God’s Love.
Thank you Lord for the ability to show your Love and Salvation to those less fortunate!

At our Sunday School, we presented our faithful attendees (ages 6-15) with an educational kit consisting of exam pads, notebooks, calculators, colour pencils, pens, rulers, sharpeners, erasers, pencils, pencil cases, lunchboxes filled with treats, cups, and a character building activity book!

And for the youngest children, a colouring book, a box of wax crayons, and also a special snack!

We took the chance to add to our weekly message a few details of how we as a mission prayed and then Jesus supplied the means and items for their school supplies; using the testimony as a faith-building example of the power of prayer! It was just incredible to see their reactions!

What a joy to be able to fulfill a great need for “Mama” Rosie and the school-aged children at Baphumelele Home in Khayelitsha township. One hundred children were given school supply packs, lunchboxes, and a message of encouragement to keep learning and keep trusting in the Love of Jesus! So many smiles and “Thank You’s”!

50 children in these communities received learner packs, kid-focused Gospel material, and lunchboxes with treats! And for the younger children a colouring book and a box of wax crayons!

We had originally planned to do this event in January, but were unable to do so due to financial constraints. Looking back we can really see that the Lord had a plan and a timetable, and it all turned out wonderfully! Even better than we had hoped!

The preparations for putting together 200 “Back to School” learner’s packs!

For Valentine’s Day, each of the ladies at a centre for women in crisis (at which we host weekly Bible studies) received a box of chocolates, some beauty products, a journal, and a Activated magazine with a special message of love and encouragement from Jesus. These dear ladies have so much going on in their lives and so many decisions to make – we are glad to be able to remind them that Love and forgiveness is always available, and they are valued.

All these lovely children – after a prayer and Bible lesson together – enjoyed delicious hotdogs! Then when leaving to head home, each one got a pack of frozen meat patties to bring to their family!
