We received an unusual gift of over 100 kg of dog and cat food, which we were able to pass on to an animal welfare centre!

We passed on many boxes of books to a community library newly set up in Khayelitsha! What a blessing it will be to young and older alike!

To celebrate Nurses Day, we packed 120 treat packs with chocolates, tea, coffee, etc.
We also included an encouraging message for each of them and an inspirational Activated magazine! These dear ones labour long hours and process a huge number of patients, many of whom need comfort, counsel, or special care. Yet they continue on cheerfully and faithfully, helping those who can’t help themselves. The surprise and thankfulness on their faces as they received their “Nurses Day Appreciation” was truly satisfying!
We visited four clinics, and when we got to the last one, it was already mid afternoon. The head nurse, remembering us from previous years, exclaimed “oh, you came! We thought you forgot about us!”
What a special reminder that these little gifts of love really do make an impact.
Finally, as our team got back to the mission, we discovered that in the meantime we’d been given several beautiful rainbow cakes!
We quickly turned around and went to surprise the nurses at a care centre for the elderly. (which cares for 160 patients) And surprised they were!

All the children at Sunday school got a special page and discussion on appreciating all you lovely moms! Amy also led them in a message and song about the Holy Spirit; afterwards giving them the invitation to pray and receive an infilling of the Holy Spirit, and 17 children came up and did! Praise the Lord!

A Mother has done her bit to contribute the most priceless, precious, valuable thing in the whole universe; an immortal soul for the Kingdom of Christ forever! Children are forever!

We supplied some cottage industry projects – methods of sustainable income for the local ladies – with large bags of donated leather off-cuts for use in crafts, earrings, and more.

We brought hot cross buns, mallow eggs, and Gospel material to the residents of three very needy communities. At each one, abundant joy and smiles showed just how much it meant to them!

Note: in total between the various Easter projects, more than 2500 donated hot cross buns were distributed!

What a busy and amazing Easter Sunday it was! Teams went to two Sunday Schools – our weekly one in Morningstar settlement, and another in Scottsdene – to bring both the message of Easter and gifts of love from Jesus to the children! (Mallow eggs, colouring pages/posters, crayons, and hot cross buns!)

At each Sunday School, David/Amy and Angela respectively shared the story of Easter, and gave the children a chance to accept Christ as their Saviour. (Angela even acted out Revelations 3:20 “behold I stand at the door and knock”.) Then they led them in a prayer and 30 children gave their hearts to Jesus!!! How wonderful!
