Helping Hand members and young volunteers got involved in our Youth Project for June; sorting through hundreds of single shoes in order to make pairs! After many hours and days of work, they were able to match up over a thousand pairs!
For Youth Day, and our Youth Focus for the month, we distributed these shoes to a large orphanage and youth-center in Khayelitsha, outreaches in three other townships, and many individual families.
What started out as many large boxes of mismatched shoes, with the help of our young volunteers, turned into a blessing for over a thousand people.
