Each week we collect and deliver hundreds of kilos of fresh produce; bread, fruit, vegetables, etc. Here Mike is sorting one of our weekly loads of vegetables and Angie is delivering it to Sive Nathi, a center for severely disabled children.

God spreads the Snow like Wool… (Psalm 147:16)
We took our children and youth -18 of us in total- to see the snow in Ceres after the cold front hit. For over half of us it was the first time we’d seen snow, and we had a freezing, smiling, sliding, snowman-building, snowball throwing, wonderful time! God’s creation is beautiful, absolutely beautiful! Job 37:6 He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’
Fresh Bread
In just one week we picked up and gave away over 5000 fresh rolls! We’re so thankful for the donation of this bread as it’s helping us to add an important staple to the meals of thousands of hungry children, and adults too. Anthony about to unload one of our vans, filled with 3,500 yummy rolls, while these little students from Fisantekraal beam their smiles at us as they eagerly look forward to their next meal.
Once Upon a Day…
We traveled many kilometres delivering food parcels to hundreds of families. We visited disadvantaged neighbourhoods, an informal settlement, and a farming community. At the end of this long and exciting day we had distributed food (along with Gospel pamphlets) to nearly 450 families; affecting approximately 1700 people! A beautiful day in all ways; great weather, warm smiles, and sunny faces!
Celebrating a South African Victory
Last night we enjoyed a special evening with our youth. We joined many other fans at the Grand West Ice Rink to watch the South Africa/South Korea ice-hockey finals. Our teenagers cheered and clapped (and yes, so did we!) as South Africa played their best. One of us even got the puck as it made its way into the grandstands, just inches away from us. After watching South Africa beat Korea we were able to get to talk to the team and get a picture with the captain. The final score was 4-1! Well done South Africa! We had lots of fun and especially enjoyed this exciting experience.
Packing Food Parcels for Needy Families
We received a enormous amount of varied food items this week; ranging from soup tins to juice to breakfast cereals etc. Both young and old(er) got involved in making parcels for distribution to those in need.
Chips of Cheer
We received a donation of chips recently; and this morning distributed packets to patients at the Morningstar Day Clinic. With each packet we presented a Gospel Pamphlet with a down-to-earth salvation message. Although simple gifts, they were received with happy smiles and brought a bit of cheer to all those at this busy facility- staff and patients alike!
Showers of…cheese!
Boxes and boxes of cheese, totaling over fifteen thousand packets (3200 kg!) were distributed during the last two days, thanks to a generous donation from a local import company. Among the many recipients were the grateful patients of three different HIV/TB clinics who were thrilled with their ‘Easter gift’ of cheese, hot-cross buns and cool-drinks. Over a dozen other centers and feeding schemes -feeding thousands -also benefited from this nutritious blessing.
