Conclusion: Grahamstown Arts Festival

The outreach in Grahamstown was a great success! Many accepted Jesus into their lives; we gave out a multitude of tracts, Activated magazines, and Bibles; and prayed with and encouraged a lot of the people we met. The Lord answered all of (y)our prayers wonderfully. We had fantastic weather, met great people, ate plenty of food, and some of our friends there even treated us to a real South African braai at the end of the Festival! Praise the Lord! Some of the statistics in brief are: -204 lives given to Jesus! -12,500 Gospel tracts distributed -over 200 inspirational Activated magazines and 22 yearly subscriptions -219 Bibles given to new converts Thank you all so, so much for your support and prayers! God bless you and stay tuned for some testimonies and reactions. Coming soon!

Fresh Rolls…12,000 of them!

Over the last few weeks we have picked up, sorted, and distributed over 12,000 rolls of fresh bread. This bread made its way to many different centres, soup kitchens, orphanages, and clinics, as well as hundreds of families! As winter sets in more and more staples like this become more needed, and we were so thankful to have such a valuable resource as fresh bread to offer the disadvantaged. God bless you, our donors and sponsors, for both the bread, and the means to pick up and deliver it! Many hungry children as well as grown-ups have benefited and been encouraged as a result.

Halfway Through: Grahamstown Festival Outreach Update

First of all, thank you all for your support and prayers! We can’t tell you any stats yet as we’re saving that for the end of the festival; but we can testify that the weather is mostly sunny praise God, and many people are giving their lives to Jesus as a result of the outreach! The response to the Activated magazines, Gospel comic tracts (pamphlets) and Bibles is very positive from both young and old! And as of this evening, we are halfway through the fest… God bless you all! Stay tuned for more testimonies soon!

God spreads the Snow like Wool… (Psalm 147:16)

We took our children and youth -18 of us in total- to see the snow in Ceres after the cold front hit. For over half of us it was the first time we’d seen snow, and we had a freezing, smiling, sliding, snowman-building, snowball throwing, wonderful time! God’s creation is beautiful, absolutely beautiful! Job 37:6 He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’

Celebrating a South African Victory

Last night we enjoyed a special evening with our youth. We joined many other fans at the Grand West Ice Rink to watch the South Africa/South Korea ice-hockey finals. Our teenagers cheered and clapped  (and yes, so did we!) as South Africa played their best. One of us even got the puck as it made its way into the grandstands, just inches away from us. After watching South Africa beat Korea we were able to get to talk to the team and get a picture with the captain. The final score was 4-1! Well done South Africa! We had lots of fun and especially enjoyed this exciting experience.
