This week Anthony, Helping Hand director and co-founder, celebrated 42 years of serving the Lord.

42 years of the Lord wonderfully providing all his needs,

42 years of the Lord doing miracles, and

42 years of seeing lives touched and changed by the same power that changed his own life all those years ago; Jesus!

Over the years Anthony has served the Lord on four different continents; the last 17 years in South Africa!

Anthony: “Living by faith means just that; living your life according to faith in God’s Word and His promises, and basing your daily decisions on that foundation! Since becoming the Lord’s employee forty-two years ago I’ve never received a salary yet I haven’t lacked anything I needed! (There were a few things that I really wanted but didn’t get; but looking back, it doesn’t take much wisdom to see why Jesus held off giving me those things! Praise the Lord!) Jesus has been the most faithful and wonderful employer imaginable; not only supplying my and my family’s needs but many times even pampering us with ‘extras’ as well.

When I met Jesus I changed from the inside out, and it began with Jesus filling the empty spot in my soul/heart/life that I had been unable to touch. I went from hell-inside to a peace that passed my understanding. And I love Him. It was a free gift, but as far as I’m concerned, I owe Him a debt that cannot be repaid. “Yea, woe is me (in my opinion) if I preach not the Gospel.” (1 Corinthians 9:16)

Next to receiving Jesus, serving Him as a missionary is the best decision I ever made. “
