Celebrating Special Women!

Some ladies from a crisis center – where we teach devotions weekly – were treated to a special breakfast out. The circumstances and background story of each one are as different as the ladies themselves. The outing gave them the time to open up about their lives and the heart-breaking challenges they face. We were so touched to hear about all they have bravely faced and felt privileged to bring a bit of love and light into their difficult lives. Each lady was presented with a lovely gift bag with…

Blankets for the Homeless – and More

The joy seen on these dear one’s faces – as they received a brand new blanket, fresh bread, and a Gospel message – made it all more than worth it! One worn and cold couple thankfully accepted their blankets, and gave beautiful smiles when we reminded them that it’s all because Jesus loves them. Another elderly gentleman kept repeating “thank you, thank you, thank you! ohhh it’s been so cold, thank you!” And a security guard sitting out in the open wind against a tree was completely speechless, finally saying “this is just so unexpected and amazing. I really really appreciate!” Praise God! How very grateful this should make each of us for our many blessings.

Warm Blankets for the Children!

All the children excitedly gathered around us as we stepped out of the van, ready to lead Sunday School! Even Kristen and Isabelle (9yrs & 7yrs) came along with us this time, excited to be a part of the project. After united prayer and a lesson on the forgiveness of sins through Salvation – how God now looks at our sins no more and they are “covered” through Grace – each child received their own colourful, warm blanket! In this cold and wet weather, these blankets are precious gifts that keep on giving. It was so heartwarming to see the children’s thankfulness and joy, and we are so very grateful for those that made this possible through prayer and support!

Soup for Students

We received a request from CPUT (Cape Peninsula University of Technology) to assist them with foodstuffs for a soup kitchen and food drive they were doing. Many of their students struggle to make ends meet, and a substantial portion have just one meal a day. By the goodness of the Lord, just the next day we received an extra unexpected donation of bread, along with fresh vegetables. So less than 24hrs later, we were able to pass on a lovely load of foodstuffs, (together with Gospel material) which went a long way and uplifted many students. Praise God!

J’Bay Winterfest Outreach Testimonies!

The four-member outreach team to J’bay came back excited with testimonies and good results! 87 Bibles, Activated magazines, and other Gospel books and items were given out, as well as 2900 Gospel tracts! And most wonderfully of all, 11 individuals accepted Jesus as their Saviour!

Here are a few testimonies from the outreach, shared by the team…

Brand New Shoes for Hard Working Staff!

Last week, we had the enormous pleasure and joy of being able to give over 170 individuals – staff at an orphanage, hospice, crèche, and soup kitchen – brand new donated shoes! Each box was labelled with the receiver’s name, which made it even more personal and wonderful, as each one would eagerly come forward when their name was called! Then, oh the wonderful as men and women peered inside their box for the first time, gasping at the beautiful, colourful, and quality shoes that were now THEIRS! (so many had old shoes and swollen feet, that as soon as their shoes were on they would dance or jump, testing out the amazing new sensation of comfort)

J’bay Winterfest Outreach – It Begins!

Another outreach opportunity! Four of our team members (Amy, Michelle, David, and Sam) left yesterday and are now in Jbay witnessing all over on the streets at the winterfest.
We are claiming angels going before, (Exodus 23:20) anointing and boldness, (2 Corinthians 1:21, Acts 4:13) souls saved, (Romans 10:13-15) and…

Eastern Cape Outreach Update!

Our two week outreach at Makhanda (Grahamstown) Arts Festival was so inspiring! The 6-person team came back full of testimonies and spirit-led results! Amy even witnessed in song with her guitar, which was an amazing blessing and had many listeners in tears as they heard the songs of Jesus’s Love. The weather was mostly mild to warm, which was an absolute answer to prayer and made it possible to walk far and wide through town to meet and minister to people. (One team member’s watch tracked that they walked 209.9km throughout the outreach!) In addition to meeting a whole lot of new people, the team followed-up on many from previous interactions, and was so inspired to see their faith and walk with the Lord growing stronger! Hallelujah!
